At City Church, we’re all about Jesus, and that’s why we gather every week to pray, worship, and hear biblical teaching. We’re also passionate about community and serving our city.

Our Basic Beliefs represent the most simple and foundational beliefs of the Christian Faith.  

Above all, we are committed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His work here on earth. We stand firm on the foundation set by Hebrews 13:8, which says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”

City Church is a part of the Church of God denomination out of Cleveland, TN.

The Code.

City Church values beauty, growth, community, and being Spirit-led. In doing so, we have established a code that we strive to live by.

  • We believe that Jesus is the head of the Church, and we are here to make Him famous.

  • We believe that the Bible is the Word of God; it is alive, and it is the authority of our faith and practices.

  • We believe that the way of salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus.

  • We believe we should lead others into real, all-out, uncompromised worship of God that transforms us all from the inside out.

  • We believe that we should be broken over the awareness that lost people go to hell, so we will seek to reach them with the message of the Gospel.

  • We believe that we should fear “missed” opportunities and the inability to change; therefore, we are not afraid to take risks.

  • We believe we should not be afraid to do things that no one is doing to reach the people no one is reaching in our community.

  • We believe that all we have has been given to us from God; therefore, we will be good stewards.

  • We believe the upcoming generation, like an arrow, needs to be released to tap into their full potential so they can change their world for Jesus.

  • We believe that not everyone will embrace our vision, but because the stakes are high and time is short, we will not back down, and will go all in for the glory of God.
