Celebration of Life for Jason Hallcox
Born August 13, 1973 in Boaz, Alabama, Jason was raised by parents, Jim and Joyce who loved God and were an example of faithfulness in serving our Lord. He has an older brother, Chad who loves and serves our Lord, as he loves and serves people.
Jason’s life has been a bright light to many from the age of 17. It was then that he responded to a call from the Lord for ministry to serve Him and serve others. Jason attended Snead State Community College where he received a vocal scholarship as well as a Tennis scholarship.
The call of ministry would take him as well as his family many places. He went wherever the Lord sent him. Jason was not about building a career, He was about the Kingdom.
He married Sandy Corley on April 12th 1997. They shared 28 years of happy marriage and ministry together. His first daughter, Eden was born in 1998. His second daughter, Farrah was born in 2001.
Jason was a great girl Dad. He adored them, had tea parties, watched the princess movies, supported all the sporting events and vocal concerts. He sang with them, and He laughed with them.
It has been told that he was a good friend, and an encourager. Jason’s life of ministry included traveling to churches with Fresh Anointing, Youth Pastor, Young Adult Ministry, Traveling all over the nation with The Imperials, many years of being a Worship Pastor , Lead Pastor, leading on many weekend Men’s retreats, Community Worship Events, recording projects, and Traveling Evangelistically with his family equipping churches.
Jason was a servant, he led behind the scenes when no one was watching as well. He loved worshiping alone in rooms and sanctuaries when only The King was present. Jason has finished his course, He has seen the face of His Savior. He has been reunited with His mother and father. He has become one of the members of the great cloud of witnesses now cheering us on to endure to the end.
His was a life well lived in service to our King.
A celebration of life for Jason will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at City Church of Chattanooga, 7122 Lee Hwy, Chattanooga, TN 37421 with a time of greeting afterwards. A private burial will be held with just family.
